Tina Fey scraps her all-juice diet

Tina Fey has scrapped her all-juice diet after an allergic reaction to the healthy treats caused her lips to swell up.

The actress who plays Liz Lemon on30 Rock gave birth to daughter Penelope last August and has struggled to lose her baby weight.

So in order to shed her post-pregnancy pounds, Tina  adopted a drastic juice cleanse in a bid to shed the pounds.

“I don’t really believe in those cleanses your body’s not like a purse, you’re not supposed to turn it inside out and shake it… But I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t care, I just need to jump-start this.’ So I tried it,” she said.

“You start with, like, a shot of… wheat grass or aloe, which tastes like liquid Band-Aids or, like, fish tank water. And then you have more juice and more juice and then later at night you get a vegan meal – it’s a treat. And it had a thing on it called carrot cheese balls. And it’s not even real cheese balls, so I don’t know that it was.

“It was pretty good but then… I had some kind of allergic reaction to it and my lips swelled up.”
