Reese Witherspoon rescued by Jim Toth

Reese Witherspoon admits her divorce from Ryan Phillippe was “awful”.

The actress is now married to agent Jim Toth, but has confessed she was very unhappy before finding love again.

“I have to be honest with you: I’m a totally different person,” she told Elle.

“I don’t think I realized how little I was living. I was so consumed with trying to hold things together.”

Reese recently revealed that she met Jim when his drunken friend tried to chat her up.

“It happened out of the blue. This really drunk guy was hitting on me, making such an idiot of himself, yelling at me. He was like, ‘You don’t know me.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I know. I don’t know you!’ Jim came over and said, ‘Please excuse my friend. He’s just broken up with someone.’ Jim was a really good friend, pulling him out of that situation,” she said.

“That’s just kind of who he is, a really good person.”
