Mark Wahlberg says marriage and kids have put pay to his days as an adrenalin junkie.
The Fighter star says, unlike Tom Cruise, he won’t risk his neck for a movie unless he absolutely has to.
“I know there are guys who do the cool thing and do all that stuff themselves but that’s not me anymore,” says Mark.
“I’m a 40-year-old family guy with a wife and kids now so I can’t do everything. I had my adrenalin junkie days and loved it but most people grow out of that.”
Mark recently insisted he will never return to his rapping roots.
“I still get the occasional person calling me Marky-Mark which is a little weird after all this time,” he said.
“There was a time when you do something and try to distance yourself from that past because you’re trying to do something else but I’m okay with it.
“It wasn’t an easy thing to accomplish but I think we’re far enough away from it now. That was all a long time ago and it’s not something I’m looking to go back to, that’s for sure.”
