Elijah Wood won't add to Lord of the Rings tattoo

Elijah Wood insists he won’t be adding to his Lord of the Rings tattoo despite his recent return to Middle Earth.

The Hollywood actor has just come back from New Zealand where he has been filming his scenes on LOTR prequelThe Hobbit.

And while he caught up with many of his old friends and costars, he didn’t have time to add to his “rings” tattoo many of the cast got on filming the original trilogy.

“There just wasn’t time. It was too short,” says Elijah.

“My involvement is so small so it wasn’t really like it was back then. It was a gift to go back and return.

“I was in Hobbiton again, for the first time in 11 years. I turned 19 in Hobbiton. I’m 30 now. That put a lot of things into perspective too. I’ve grown up a bit now.”
