Brad Pitt why he's carrying a cane?

Brad Pitt has been using a cane lately because he has an injured ACL, a ligament in the knee that connects the femur with the tibia.

The actor, 48, walked the red carpet with his stick at the 22nd annual Palm Springs Film Festival awards gala.

“I was carrying my daughter [Vivienne] down the hill and I slipped,” Pitt said. “It was either her or me.”

Pitt says he won’t need surgery, but he may need that cane for a while.

But his partner, Angelina Jolie, doesn’t mind.

“I like the cane,” she said. “He’s not that kind of guy. He does everything still.

“Vivie’s okay. She was absolutely fine.”
